Up to the present day a total of 3467 candidates [ 118 candidates in advance survey and land records training for officers, 337 candidates in advance and land records training for non-officers, 2869 candidates in basic survey and land records training for surveyors and 261 candidates in refresher training course for clerical staff ] have received their training in the institute, while 2842 candidates in the outreach programme with ad hoc short term training activities for surveyors organized at the State/ Division levels.
During the previous year, a decerning new direction of CLRDTC has emerged with initiatives adopted to infuse greater dynamism in the training in order to meet the increasing demand and changing needs.
For the above purpose two distinguished initiatives that have been added are:
- the emphasis on training in term of the contents and subject matters of the courses
- the efforts that mounted for raising the capacity of the staff in collection, compilation and producing quality statistics and reports as well as on modern surveying and mapping by increasing the practical field hours to enhance the effectiveness of classroom teaching.
