FIELD VISIT BY TECHNICAL OFFICER-GENDER ISSUES (FAO/RAPS)
Field Visit (with TOR)
The FAO Women in Development Officer, RAPS will:
- Review the extent of the Government's programmer for including gender concerns in agricultural development planning and monitoring especially as it relates to agricultural development, in general, and food security and poverty alleviation, in particular;
- Advise on the relevant definitions and concepts to be used in the census in order of obtain the necessary data and information as it pertains to gender issues;
- Advise on the design of the sample framework and on the development of the questionnaire and the tabulation plan to obtain the necessary data and information;
- Review the training programmer to ensure gender issues are adequately addressed;
- Prepare and present a paper on gender issues related to the Programmer for the World Census of Agriculture (WCA) at the users/producers workshop;
- Prepare a back-to-office report with a summary of activities undertaken, findings and conclusions and recommendations for follow-up.
