HISTORY

Settlement and Land Records Department ( SLRD ) was established in 1907. When it was first established , the main objective was to collect land revenue effectively and extensively.

After Revolutionary Government had assumed power in March 2, 1962, Myanmar's development was geared towards forming Agrobased industrial state and SLRD's main objective was also changed to that of collection and compilation of agricultural statistics to be in line with the needs of the State.
